The little seed-pod/wishbone piece on the inner arm is such a clever shape choice for that placement – simple enough to read from a distance but the linework holds up close too. The fan piece with the roses tucked into the folds is probably my favourite though, that dot border framing it really finishes it off nicely. Deathandbloom clearly has a strong handle on composition, not just line quality.
Blackwork holds up so much better long-term than fine-line color when it comes to healing and fading — worth mentioning for anyone comparing styles before booking. Great spotlight, Leeds doesn’t get enough credit for its illustrative scene.
